Will Arya's Enga Veetu Mappillai be the next Bigg Boss Tamil?

 

After Colors TV Tamil announced that they will be hosting a program called Enga Veetu Mappillai, a reality show that will serve as the bride-hunting platform for actor Arya, people have been waiting to see how well it fares with the Tamil audience. While an initial promo showed Arya giving us a glimpse of people in his 'real life', a more latest one shows the actor,  who is also the brand ambassador of Colors Tamil getting introduced to the girls who will be taking part in the show. The big question however lies in whether or not, the concept of the show which is close to what our history showed us as 'Swayamvaram' would appeal to the audience of our culture specific state. 


However, given how Bigg Boss Tamil (a concept that had priorly been tried and tested with our Bollywood and Sandalwood counterparts) drew mass amount of TV viewers and had them hooked to the show till the very end, it makes us wonder if the acceptance level of non-mundane shows among our Television audience has grown more than ever. Enga Veetu Mappillai will air from Monday to Friday between 8.30 PM - 9.30 PM, starting February 20, 2018 and 16 girls will be seen performing tasks and wooing Arya in return for his hand in marriage.
