Internet Sensation Priya Varrier relieved and happy with Supreme Court verdict

The Supreme Court has quashed this case today (previously they had stayed all criminal proceedings) and a court bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice AM Khanwilkar, strongly reprimanded the Telengana government stating, "Somebody in a film sings a song and you have no other job but to file a case."

Priya Prakash Varrier who became an overnight Internet sensation is happy and relieved over Suprement Courts verdict that came out in her favour.

 

The first song of Malayalam movie 'Oru Adaar Love' became viral on the social media within few hours of its release because of Varrier's cute and adorable expressions. 

 

Actress Priya Prakash Varrier and director Omar Lulu, were booked for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of Muslims in a song from their upcoming film 'Oru Adaar Love'.

 

Priya said that she felt "relieved" and "extremely happy" after the Supreme Court stayed all criminal proceedings in connection with 'Manikyamalaraya poovi', the popular song from ‘Oru Adaar Love’.

 

The Apex Court said no FIR can be lodged in future in any state against Varrier. "People like us, who have just started our career, get tensed with such things. I am happy with the order of Supreme Court," said Priya.

 

"Main sabko thank you kehna chahoongi support karne ke liye (I would love to say thank you to all who supported)," Varrier added.

 

The film's director, Omar Lulu also thanked his supporters in the wake of the apex court's verdict.
