The shooting of Jiiva's upcoming film Gorilla started at the beginning of this month. The first schedule of the film was shot in Puducherry and the schedule has been wrapped.

The team will be heading to Thailand for the second schedule. It will be a month long shoot in Thailand. A real chimpanzee will be featuring in the film and the scenes involving the chimpanzee will be shot in Thailand.

Jiiva plays a role of a North Madras guy. Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame plays the female lead. Don Sandy directs the film which Sam CS scores the music.
