In Chennai city, the film has grossed 89 lakhs, which is by far Sivakarthikeyan's career best and also the alltime No.7 opening day gross in Chennai city after Mersal, Vivegam, Kabali, Theri, Bairavaa and Baahubali2. This is elite territory indeed!

And early estimates for TN gross point to a figure close to 8 CR which is again a shockingly good opening for a Sivakarthikeyan film, that too on a normal working day. As we know the film had shows as early as 5 am in many theaters across TN and all of them went full too.
