Latest update on Mersal song shoot

Major portions of Vijay’s film Mersal have completed shooting and as announced by Hema Rukmani of Sri Thenandal Films, dubbing for the film began early last month. With only one song is left to be shot, what's latest is that pre-production work for this last shoot has already begun and the team has started work on conceptualizing the song. This track will feature Vijay and Samantha and will be choreographed by dance masterSherrif. 

Mersal is expected to hit theatre screens for Diwali this year and will see Vijay playing the role of a village Panchayat head (father) and his two sons - one Dr. Maran and a magician. Nithya Menon is paired opposite father Vijay while Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal are assumably paired opposite the sons. The first single from the film titled Aalaporan Tamizhan, composed by A.R. Rahman will be released tomorrow i.e. August 10, 2017.
