Vikram Vedha conquers overseas market with a blockbuster 

Tamil film Vikram Vedha has been declared a blockbuster hit in the US with the film grossing over $300K (Rs. 1.9 crore) in the first week at the box-office. The opening weekend alone amounted to $247036 (Rs. 1. 6 crore) in the film' s US market collections. The movie is also being lauded for being the first Tamil film in a while to have 90% occupancy since its release. As a result, after a long time, a Tamil film will be continued for the second week in the US theatres in about 64 screens. Considering that the film was initially released in 47 screens, this retention and new addition of theatre screens for the second week, speaks volumes about the film's success in the country.
