Rajinikanth's heart-felt statement on the Jallikattu massacre

Following the chaos between the Jallikattu protesters and the department of Police which saw the crowds being dispersed using lathi-charge and stone- pelting and destruction of property, the peaceful protest seems to have taken an ugly turn. At this unexpected turn of events, actor Rajinikanth has come forward with a heart-felt appeal to all those who contributed to these protests and helped bring the ordinance against the ban on Jallikattu. Rajinikanth wrote:

"I feel deeply saddened to see the current I humbly request you all withdraw this peaceful protest at once, happenings that follows the victory of a protest against Jallikattu ban, that had students, youngsters, ladies and all Tamil people gathered in a peaceful and disciplined way; a protest that had gained everyone's attention and will go down in golden words in the Indian history.

At this point, it is only civilized to give respect, trust the repeated assurances and wait peacefully for the time said by the judges, lawyers, state and the central government for permanent Jallikattu.

In the event of some anti-socialists trying to defame your hard work, your efforts, your earned good name, the support and dedication of the Police department who protected you all these days, I humbly request you all to withdraw this peaceful protest at once."
