Shankar tried Rajini and Kamal for Endhiran 2

According to the industry sources, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan was initially approached for a role by Shankar in Endhiran 2. However, as the actor turned down the offer, actor Vikram would be possibly taking up the role. Interestingly this will be the third movie for both Rajini and Vikram in Shankar's direction.

Harris Jayaraj to score music?

Harris Jayaraj who was facing a debacle in the past, bounced back this year with his favorite directors. However he does not have any exciting projects other than his regular Udhayanidhi movie. It is said that Shankar has zeroed Harris Jayaraj as the music director for his next. It is a surprising move by Shankar, choosing Harris over AR Rahman for such a huge project.

Official Announcement

It is expected that an official announcement regarding the project will be out once Shankar is back from his U.S trip. The mammoth project which would exceed the budget of Rs 150 crore will be produced by LYCA.
