Kaththi takes US box office by storm

Kaththi has taken US box office by storm and has been breaking records. The estimates show that Kaththi is expected to make $635K for the extended long weekend(6-day) Box Office collections. Kaththi comfortably raced past Rajini's Kochadaiyaan opening collection of $436K released this year. This has been Vijay's biggest grosser in the US region till date. Thanks to Vijay-AR Murugadoss combination, pre-release controversy, and strong word-of-mouth. 

The Sunday collections are still awaited. There is a high likelihood that Kaththi may be the 2nd or 3rd highest grosser following the all-mighty Enthiran and Vishwaroopam.

Note: The record keeping for Sivaji and Dasavatharam are only estimates and the collections were not comprehensively accounted across all screens at the time of release.

 
As the numbers from overseas circuits flow in, a number of records are expected to be set.
