Fresh off the widespread appreciation for Karuppu's soundtrack, composer Sai Abhyankkar has hinted that his next independent single is dropping in July. The brief reply to a fan's query on social media was characteristically simple: just the word "July."

The announcement adds to a busy period for the singer-composer, who released his well-received independent single Pavazha Malli just two months ago. His journey in independent music began with Valam Valaravendum in 2023 before Katchi Sera in 2024 put him firmly on the map, followed by Aasa Kooda, Sithira Puthiri, and Vizhi Veekura.

On the film front, Sai debuted in Malayalam with Balti (2025) and in Tamil with Dude (2025), with Karuppu marking his sophomore Tamil outing. His upcoming film projects include Bakkiyaraj Kannan's Benz, Tamizh's Marshal, and Atlee's Raaka.
