Besides Sardar 2, Tamil star actor Karthi will also be seeing the 2026 release of a period drama titled Marshal, which is written and directed by Tamizh, and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. Latest update on Marshal is that the film's digital rights have been picked for a record price.

Marshal's OTT rights has been sold to Netflix, and the streaming platform is expected to premiere the movie in multiple languages post its theatrical release. Set in 1960s-70s Rameshwaram, Marshal is touted to be a two-part crime drama, with Kalayani Priyadarshan playing female lead, and Aadhi Pinisetty playing the antagonist. 

The technical crew of Marshal includes Sai Abhyankkar for music, Sathyan Sooryan for cinematography, Philomin Raj for edits, and Arun Venjaramoodu for production design. Think Music holds the audio rights to Marshal. The film also stars Sathyaraj, Prabhu, and Lal in supporting roles.
