Actor Vikram who marked 2024 with the release of the period action adventure Thangalaan, is currently part of a film titled Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which is the actor's 62nd film. Chiyaan 63 (tentative title) will mark Vikram's 63rd movie, and is most likely to be directed by the National Award winning filmmaker Madonne Ashwin. 

Madonne Ashwin made his debut as a feature film director with the Yogi Babu starrer Mandela (2021), which earned him two National Film Awards for best debut director, and best dialogue. Madonne followed it up with the commercial hit Maaveeran (2023) starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. 

While Mandela is a political satire on the lines of Swing Vote (2008), Maaveeran is a fantasy action where the lead character begins hearing a disembodied voice, just like in Stranger than Fiction (2006). Now Madonne is gearing up for his third film as director, and has narrated a script to actor Vikram.  

Vikram is said to be much impressed with the story arc, and has asked Madonne to complete it for a final narration. Maaveran producer Arun Vishwa of Shanthi Talkies is the front runner to produce Chiyaan 63. Madonne Ashwin's usual technical crew like music composer Bharath Sankar, cinematographer Vidhu Ayyana, and editor Philomin Raj are expected to be roped in for Chiyaan 63 as well.
