Thalapathy 69 (tentative title) is actor Vijay's last movie before he becomes a full time politician. The project was officially announced on September 14, 2024 with H. Vinoth as director, and Anirudh Ravichander as music composer. KVN Productions, the banner behind Thalapathy 69 has now officially announced that Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is on board as part of Thalapathy 69's cast. 

Thalapathy 69 is Bobby Deol's second film in Tamil after Suriya's Kanguva. Official updates on Thalapathy 69's cast is further expected to keep coming in the upcoming days.
