Amaran First Single Soon! Sivakarthikeyan dubs for Rajkumar Periyasamy film

Amaran titled after a 1992 Karthik- K. Rajeshwar film, is an upcoming Sivakarthikeyan starrer that is slated for release on October 31, 2024 i.e. the Diwali Thursday. The movie with GV Prakash for music, is currently gearing up for a first single release. Amaran's first single is said to be a melody song, and the track is expected to be out sooner than later.

 

Sivakarthikeyan recently began dubbing for the movie which is written and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy of Rangoon (2017) fame. A biographical war action that is based on the late Indian Army Officer Mukund "Maddy" Varadarajan, Amaran is adapted from the book India's Most Fearless - True Stories of Modern Military Heroes.

 

 

Written by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, the book's Chapter 7 titled I Got Hit. I Can't Believe It is about the Shopian encounter which took Mukund V's life. It is recounted in text by Col. Amit Singh Dabbas, who was Mukund V's CO at that time.

 

Also starring Sai Pallavi as Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the surviving wife of Mukund V, and Bhuvan Arora as Sepoy Vikram Singh who lost his life alongside Mukund in the Shopian encounter, Amaran has CH Sai for cinematography, Anbariv for stunts, and R. Kalaivanan for edits.

 

The movie is a joint production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), and Sony Pictures. Amaran's OTT rights are with Netflix, and the film is being released in Tamil Nadu by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
