Eric starring the Hollywood-famous English actor Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead, is an upcoming 6-episode OTT series that is all set to premiere on Netflix on May 30, 2024. The streaming platform unveiled Eric's first trailer recently, and the same can be viewed above.

Created by Abi Morgan, Eric set in 1980s New York is a thriller that follows a desperate puppeteer-father as he battles his demons on the vibrant, dangerous, and intoxicating streets of NYC in a race to bring home his missing son. Eric's trailer unveils Cumberbatch as Vincent, one of New York’s leading puppeteers and creator of the hugely popular children’s television show 'Good Day Sunshine'.

Vincent's life turns upside down when his 9-year-old son Edgar goes missing on the way to school. Guilt over Edgar’s disappearance, makes Vincent cling to his son’s drawings of a blue monster puppet named Eric. Vincent is convinced that if he can get Eric on TV, then Edgar will come home. 

Eric series also stars Gaby Hoffmann as Cassie, Vincent's wife, McKinley Belcher III as lead detective Ledroit, and Ivan Howe as Edgar.
