Tamil star actor Suriya is all over cricket twitter, and this is because the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), also known as the ISPL T10 League kickstarted on March 6, 2024 [Wednesday]. Suriya owns the Chennai Singhams team of the ISPL T10, and last evening he also played for Team Khiladi XI, led by Akshay Kumar in a special one-time cricket match. 

Team Khiladi XI went against Sachin Tendulkar's Team Master's 11, and an image of Suriya and Sachin Tendulkar greeting on the field has gone viral at the moment. The official match however was between Amitabh Bachchan owned Majhi Mumbai and Akshay Kumar’s team Srinagar Ke Veer.

Cricketer Suresh Raina who was also present at the maiden ISPL T10 event of 2024, took to the X platform to share a click with Suriya and his two kids. Suriya quoted the post by writing,

ISPL aims to find, train and promote talented cricket players, who have trouble getting noticed. The T10 league also helps them play in a good, competitive environment. Other Indian films stars with teams in the ISPL T10 league are Ram Charan (Falcon Risers Hyderabad), Hrithik Roshan (Bangalore Strikers), Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan (Tiigers of Kolkata). 

Ravi Shastri is the chief mentor of the ISPL T10 tournament, and Pravin Amre, Jatin Paranjpe head the selection committee. The ISPL matches scheduled to go on till March 15, 2024 airs live on Sony Sports Ten 2 TV channel in India. Live streaming of these matches are also available for free on the SonyLIV OTT platform.
