Blue Star starring Ashok Selvan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Keerthi Pandian among others is a Tamil language sports drama that released in theaters on January 25, 2024. The cricket based movie written by S. Jayakumar, Thamizh Prabha and directed by S. Jayakumar opened to rave reviews, and is one of the better films to come out of Kollywood in 2024.

This movie is currently gearing up for a digital premiere, and Blue Star's OTT release date is February 29, 2024. A production venture of director Pa. Ranjith's Neelam Productions and Lemon Leaf Creations Pvt Ltd, Blue Star will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in India, and on Tentkotta, Simply South outside India. 

Set in the 1990s, Blue Star follows the rivalry between two groups belonging to different castes in Arakkonam, against the backdrop of cricket. The movie has Govind Vasantha for music, and also stars Prithvi Rajan as Sam, Bagavathi Perumal as Immanuel, Mullai Arasi as Kaamatchi, Elango Kumaravel, Lizzie Antony, Dhivya Duraisamy as Thenmozhi, Raghav Parthiban as Nandagopal, Goutham Raj, Tarun Srinivas as Varun and Saju Navodaya in a cameo as Bullet Babu.
