'Superstar' Rajinikanth has been shooting for his upcoming movie Vettaiyan at Andhra Pradesh (AP), and visuals of the actor being extended a warm welcome in Nidizivve Village of Kadapa has taken over the AP socials. Vettaiyan is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame, and currently the filmmaker has been shooting a car action scene in the spot where Rajini was given a cheerful welcome by the crowd.

Malayalam film actor Fahadh Faasil who has previously appeared in Tamil movies like Maamannan (2023), Vikram (2022), Super Deluxe (2019), Velaikkaran (2017) plays an important role alongside Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan. This Mollywood star was also spotted at the Andhra Pradesh shooting spot. 

Telugu film actor Rana Daggubati is also expected to take part in this Vettaiyan schedule. A Lyca Productions venture, Vettaiyan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, VJ Rakshan among others, and has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
