The 53nd edition of International Film Festival Rotterdam i.e. IFFR 2024 is all set to take place from January 25, 2024 to February 4, 2024. While the full festival programme, including everyday schedules will be officially announced on January 10, 2024, the list of films that have been confirmed to be screening are already listed on IFFR's website. 

Among the Tamil movies, 2023 feature films like Vetrimaaran directed Viduthalai: Part 1, Karthik Subbaraj directed Jigarthanda DoubleX will be screened under the non-competitive limelight category. The yet unreleased Viduthalai: Part 2 is also expected to premiere at IFFR along with Part 1 of the Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Menon starrer.  

In the competitive category, director Ram's Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai (7 Seas 7 Mountains) starring Nivin Pauly in the lead will be going against 11 other international films in 'Big Screen Competition'. IFFR describes this category as a 'diverse competition bridging the gap between popular, classic and art house cinema'. An expert audience jury picks the winner of Big Screen Competition.
