Star is an upcoming Tamil film directed by Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018) fame and starring actor Kavin in the lead. The movie has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music and is a production venture of Tollywood production house Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC), which made its Tamil debut with Asvins (2023) and Rise East Banners. 

Star has completed 50% shooting and director Elan has now revealed that the film will have Aaditi Pohankar and Preity Mukhundan playing female leads. While Preity is making her Tamil feature film debut, Aaditi Pohankar made her Kollywood debut with Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum (2017) opposite Atharvaa.

Aaditi Pohankar has more recently appeared in Hindi OTT series like She (Netflix) and Aashram (MX Player). According to director Elan, Star will have a mix of everything including a college story, romance and family drama.

The film's technical crew also includes Ezhil Arasu K for cinematography, Vinoth Raj Kumar N for art, Sathish Krishnan for choreography, Vicky for stunts, Sujith Sudhakaran for costume design, A Muthukumaran for VFX and Pradeep E Ragav for edits.
