Jailer second single Hukum trends at No: 1! Fan reactions to lyrics flood

Hukum - Thalaivar Alapara, the Anirudh composed second single from Rajinikanth's upcoming movie Jailer was released last evening and the song sung by Anirudh as well, is currently trending at No: 1 on YouTube. Fan reactions to the Rajini-introduction number has been hugely positive, and the lyrics by Super Subu has especially garnered a lot of attention.

A Sun Pictures production, Jailer is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is scheduled to release in theaters on August 10, 2023. 72-year old Rajini plays a cop named Muthuvel Pandian in the film and in line with his the longevity of the star's career, lyrics from Hukum go, "I've seen your fits, I've heard your father's whistles, I make your son and grandson, dance (to me)"

Rajinikanth has been synonymous with the title 'Superstar', ever since it was given to him by the producer of the 1978 Tamil film Bairavi. In 2018, when the actor changed his twitter handle from @superstarrajini to @rajinikanth, there were murmurs of him deciding to let go of the tag before he enters politics. He is also fondly known as 'Thalaivar'/Thalaiva (meaning leader), a moniker later strongly associated with the actor in anticipation of his political entry. However Rajini let go of his political ambitions in the year 2021, after he turned 70. 

Ever since there has been a cold battle to pass on the Superstar/Thalaivar/Thalaiva tag to other entities, much to the dismay of Rajini fans. Hukum lyrics pays attention to this, leaving hardcore Rajinikanth fans berserk. "4 people to lift the name, 100 people to snatch the title, If looked beyond the small wall, a crore people to give their lives."
