Previously we had reported that Kamal Haasan will be shooting a schedule for Indian 2 in South Africa, and that the makers have planned a big train fight sequence to be filmed there. Currently Kamal Haasan is in Italy on a break and he will be returning to Chennai on March 29. He leaves to South Africa soon after that and will shoot in the country sometime after April 1, 2023 till April 25, 2023. 

The final leg of Indian 2 shooting will take place in Thailand. Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 hit movie Indian, and will see Kamal Haasan return in his vigilante Senapathy element. Indian 2 is a production venture of Red Giant Movies and Lyca Productions and has music by Anirudh.
