Vetrimaaran directed Viduthalai: Part 1 starring Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Menon is a neo-noir movie adapted from B. Jeyamohan's short story Thunaivan. The movie which went for censor formalities recently has been certified "A" with a runtime of 2 Hrs 30 Mins.

The movie is now all set for theatrical release on March 31, 2023.
