Actor politician Udhayanidhi Stalin recently joined his CM father MK Stalin's cabinet as the 35th minister, and immediately after that, the minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development announced that he was quitting acting in movies.

Udhay is currently part of an ambitious last project titled Maamannan, which is directed by Mari Selvaraj and has AR Rahman for music. The actor had announced back in July that he will also be acting in Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) production, but has now dropped out of the movie.

Latest we hear Kamal Haasan, who had previously insisted Udhaynidhi to act in this movie, is currently in talks with Vijay Sethupathi as a replacement. RKFI 54 is expected to take off in January, 2023 and wrap in a short time of 2-3 months.
