Mani Ratnam directed Ponniyin Selvan: Part One (PS-I) is on a record breaking spree at the box-office and the movie has now become the highest grossing Tamil movie in the USA. PS-I has dethroned the Rajinikanth-Shankar movie 2.0's lifetime gross in the region, and incidentally both movies are production ventures of Lyca Productions.
