Last month director Shankar resumed shooting for his long-awaited Indian 2 sans Kamal Haasan and it was widely reported on September 20, 2022 that Kamal Haasan too has joined the sets. Today, the Ulaganayagan officially confirmed that he has resumed Indian 2 filming and shared a video of him in discussion with his director.

Interestingly, the video came with the familiar background score of Indian (1996), composed by AR Rahman. Indian 2 has music by Anirudh and there is a genuine anticipation surrounding his upcoming music for the film, mainly because of the bar set by AR Rahman's 26 year old work, which to date sounds fresh.

Indian 2 actress Kajal Aggarwal also recently posted a training video of her prepping for the movie [only after 4 months of delivering a baby] and a part of her caption on Instagram read, "#Indian2 I’m so glad I’ve jumped back into the drill with you. Stoked to learn new skills on the job and pursue them as hobbies after. So fortunate to be a part of this industry I call home! Grateful for the opportunities to constantly learn and become an upgraded version of myself."
