Popular English football club Manchester City, which is one of the teams that competes in the Premiere League (the top flight of English football), paid a fun tribute to Indian movie KGF: Chapter 2 today. The official Instagram handle of Man City (as the team is shortly called) posted an image of three of its key players -  Kevin (De Bruyne), (İlkay) Gündoğan and (Phil) Foden and called it the City's 'own KGF'.

Farhan Akthar, whose company presented KGF and KGF 2 in Hindi and an ardent City supporter responded to this tribute by posting:

KGF is a two-part Kannada period action drama that deals with mafia at the Kolar Gold Fields. The movies are written and directed by Prashanth Neel with Kannada star Yash in the lead. While KGF: Chapter 1 dealt with the lead character's rise to power, KGF: Chapter 2 has him dealing with pressure from all sides including the government and old foes.
