After getting a Telugu and Kannada version, Karthik Subbaraj directed Jigarthanda has  been adapted into Hindi as Bachchhan Paandey and the National award winning portrayal of actor Simha in the original has been reprised by Akshay Kumar in the remake. The official trailer of Bachchan Paandey was released today and gave the Tamil viewers a glimpse into how similar and different it is from the original.

Kriti Sanon plays the film-maker who is set out to make a real gangster movie in Bachchhan Paandey, giving the role a female twist. The supporting characters are played by performing veterans like Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh among others. Jacqueline Fernandez plays Akshay Kumar's love interest in the film and the trailer reveals that she gets killed by Akshay.

Bachchchan Paandey is directed by Farhad Samji and is scheduled to release in theaters on March 18, 2022.
