Viruman is the title of actor Karthi's next, for which he is reuniting with his Komban director Muthaiya and the title poster of the movie was unveiled in the late Sunday evening. Actors Suriya and Jyotika are producing the movie under 2D Entertainment and director Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar is making her debut into movies with this film.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music for Viruman which is touted to be yet another rural story from Muthaiya. The movie is slated for a Summer, 2022 release and has SK Selvakumar for cinematography. 

Viruman also stars Rajkiran in a character role and has stunts by Anl Arasu.
