Marvel's latest super-hero film Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff is all the rage right now as the movie has released in the theaters and streaming platforms of select countries worldwide. Exactly a week into its release, Black Widow has garnered the biggest box office opening for the franchise yet, both in the US and otherwise.

Riding on positive critical reception and word of mouth, Black Widow is gearing up for India release on Disney Plus Hotstar and here is a quick catch-up of what we know of Scarlett Johansson's solo Avenger outing so far:

• Plot: Black Widow is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War which has broken up the Avengers. Natasha ends up in Budapest where she encounters her younger sister Yelena (Florence Pugh) and together they take on the Black Widow and Red Room programme which is still operational under Antonia Dreykov (Olga Kurylenko).

• Run-Time: 2 hours and 14 minutes (134 minutes)

• Major Spoilers: Black Widow ends with Yelena grieving at Natasha's grave, after she sacrifices her life instead of Hawkeye's to defeat Thanos. Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) from The Falcon And The Winter Soldier series makes a guest appearance recruiting Yelena by showing her the face of Clint Barton aka "the person responsible" for her sister's death. Fans believe this is a hint at Yelena being a part of Disney Plus' upcoming Marvel web series Hawkeye.
