The rate of confirmed coronavirus cases and mortality as a result has soared in India, so much so that Dr V K Paul, head of India’s Covid-19 task force, has recommended to wear masks even at home settings to break the chain of transmission.

Amidst the choas surrounding the country's caseload, a new social media campaign has gone viral among the Tamil netizens. A Facebook user by the name Shastagram has reinterpreted popular Tamil film dialogues to urge citizens of Tamil Nadu to keep a mask on them whenever necessary.
