"I sincerely dedicate it to all those who have been a part of my journey", wrote Rajinikanth as news of him becoming the recipient of Indian cinema's highest honour, the Dadasaheb Phalke award broke earlier today. Rajinikanth has had quite the journey in the film business these past 46 years and there is no stopping the 70 year old yet.

The actor remains one of the select names from the Tamil film industry, who has remained mostly in the good books of politicians, irrespective of governments. It should come as no surprise therefore that the actor is conferred with multiple honours from administrations of his own state, neighboring state, his native state and the whole country.
