The first trailer from Loki, Disney Plus' upcoming Marvel series featuring Tom Hiddleston in the titular role has been unveiled and it has been officially announced that the series in full will premiere in May, 2021.

Hiddleston's chaotic anti-hero character died at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) but the series focusses on events surrounding the time when the 'God of Mischief' was able to escape by grabbing hold of the Space Stone and vanishing.

Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sophia Di Martino will also star alongside the Asgardian prince, whose series will see a guest appearance by Richard E. Grant in a mysterious role.
