Shooting Begins for New Tamil Film Starring GV Prakash and Abbas

A new Tamil movie starring GV Prakash, Abbas, and Sri Gouri Priya started filming with a pooja ceremony on August 5, 2025. The film is directed and written by Maria Elanchezian, a first-time director. It is produced by Jayavardhanan under Beyond Pictures, with Jaikanth Suresh as co-producer. The music is by Justin Prabhakaran.

This film is special as it marks Abbas’s comeback to Tamil cinema after nearly 10 years. Main cast includes GV Prakash Kumar, Abbas, Sri Gouri Priya, George Maryan, and Geetha Kailasam.

The movie will be a fun family comedy, similar to Love Today. GV Prakash plays a comedy role, and Gouri Priya plays a lively, strong character. Abbas will have an important role in his return.
