Laws in India state that advertisements of a political nature to be displayed on TV/Cable networks have to be first certified by a Committee set up for this purpose. So naturally when Kamal Haasan made his usual weekend appearance on the running season of Bigg Boss Tamil wearing his party logo, the 'issue' became a 'debate' on social media.
It's is his primary motive to host the show. I don't think it is wrong. This is such a big promotion for his party. When millions are watching then y shouldn't he promote. #BiggBossTamil4 #BiggBoss4Tamil #BiggBossTamil #MNM

Last year Kamal Haasan debuted his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam in the general elections of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and the election symbol for his party is a battery torchlight. However what Haasan wore to his reality TV show appearance was a logo of the six interlocked hands, which is found on his party flag.

While the gesture raised a lot of eyebrows, especially since people have been complaining since Season 1 of Bigg Boss Tamil that Kamal Haasan has been using the platform as a 'PR machine' for his political entry, his supporters argued that several political parties in Tamil Nadu downright use election symbols on their respective TV channels without being objected to.
If they wish they can put a case in court but they will not because they only want public opinion changed. DMK/ADMK very well know they are the lawbreakers.
