One of Dhanush's upcoming movies is Atrangi Re which is an Anand L Rai directorial and also starring Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. A new still from the movie featuring Dhanush and Sara was unveiled today and it has also been confirmed that the movie plans to resume shooting from October, 2020. 

Director Aanand L. Rai has been quoted in the media as saying, "I'm really excited to start the next schedule, which is planned to happen in Madurai, October onwards, and then with Akshay for a month in Delhi and Mumbai, with all safety precautions in place, of course.."

Written by Himanshu Sharma, Atrangi Re is slated to open in 2021 and is a joint production by Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series and Cape Of Good Films. The film has music by A.R. Rahman.
