If one may recall, when Atlee was casting a villain for Vijay's film Theri, director Bharathi Raja's name was associated with the project but he ended up not doing the movie. Its 2020 and Bharathi Raja and Vijay are yet to collaborate on a project together in whatever capacity. The veteran director while wishing Vijay for his birthday recently pointed out this aspect and said,

"The seed that I unfortunately avoided in my cinema journey. Happy Birthday to Vijay, who transformed his pain to his strengths and is celebrated worldwide as the property of the youth of Tamil Nadu.
