Cricketer Harbhajan Singh who has taken to acting with the Tamil film Friendship shot a considerable amount for the movie before the country went under lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Now, it has been revealed that Harbhajan will be seen in the role of a student from Punjab who comes to Coimbatore to complete his studies in Mechanical Engineering. 

Friendship is directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya and the film also stars Losliya, actor Arjun and comedian Sathish in important roles. The film is Harbhajan Singh's debut as a lead and given his popularity with the Tamil folks (The cricketer's habit of tweeting in literary Tamil gained him quite a fan-following), it would be interesting to see how the film turns out.
