Heeding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to pay tribute to front-line warriors of the Coronavirus pandemic, people from across the nation opted to turn off their house lights for 9 minutes at 9 PM last night and instead lit up the night with candles, torch-lights and oil lamps. The Indian film industry joined the nation in doing so and celebrities from all over the country posted images of them and their families performing the same on their social media accounts.
It is worth mentioning here that despite the stringent 21-day lockdown in effect till April 14, 2020, India's death toll due to the COVID-19 coronavirus surged beyond 100 on Monday and the number of positive cases in the country stands at 4000+.
