The March 23, 2020 premiere of Rajinikanth's International TV debut aka his appearance on the show Man VS Wild has created a record on TV ratings for both the show and Discovery channel's TV network. The Bear Grylls hosted episode featuring the Superstar actor was aired in 12 different languages across the network and registered a whopping 12.4 million impressions in total. 

According to BARC, this number was 86% higher than the previous 4 weeks, increased the slot-viewership to 5 times of what it was before and helped the network garner a major 89% share in infotainment TV. Interestingly, the episode has also helped DTamil (one of the network channels that premiered the episode) get ahead of leading regional channels like Colors Tamil, Jaya and Raj TV during the slot.
