A latest single titled Mannurunda from Suriya's upcoming movie Soorarai Pottru was released today and the G.V. Prakash composition, besides being a foot-tapping folk number provided some food for thought. As is known while the rest of India is majorly divided over religion, Tamil Nadu has seen clashes over 'caste' more than anything else and off-late Kollywood has been seeing a resurgence in the 'caste agenda' movies. 

While public opinions remain divided on what and does not constitute as an 'agenda', Mannurunda contains lyrics by K Ekadesi which appeals to 'throw away such differentiation'. Senthil Ganesh has rendered his vocals to this number which through the glimpses show that it has been picturised on Suriya.
