Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan has received an honorary doctorate by Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha on November 19. The actor received the merit from Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.

The doctorate degree is a recognition of Kamal Haasan’s contribution for the country in the field of cinema, culture and arts. The university has also invited Kamal to visit their campus keeping in view of the skill training they provide.

Kamal Haasan called upon Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and held discussions with the state Chief Minister on a number of issues including politics on Monday.
