The hugely anticipated 'Saaho' starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles hit the screens worldwide on August 30. The film which opened to negative reviews from both critics as well as the audience has failed to live up to its hype. It has been under performing at the TN box office. 

Saaho witnessed a decent opening on Day 1 by grossing Rs. 3.6 cr has made a business of close to Rs. 10 cr in its four-day opening weekend, In Chennai city alone, the film has grossed Rs. 2.12 cr in 4 days. According to trade experts, the film has witnessed massive drop in footfalls on a day by day basis. The majority of the film's business is done in Tamil Nadu and it has turned out to be a colossal disaster at the Box Office.

The film's distribution rights were sold for Rs. 20 cr in Tamil Nadu. With an estimated distributor share of Rs. 4.3 cr in 4 days, the film has incurred losses of over 75% to the distributors. Though the film made average business in A centers, it has been a complete washout in B and C centers. 

Despite negative reports, Saaho has been doing well in North India and Telugu states while it has turned out to be a disaster in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The film has done average business in Karnataka. It has been underpeforming in the overseas market as well.
