Ahead of his film's release Bigil which is all set to hit theater screens for Diwali this year, actor Vijay who also goes by 'Thalapathy Vijay' has received a heart-felt poetic letter from his singer-mother Shoba Chandrasekar. The letter is gaining a lot of traction among fans of the actor right now because for the first time, the actor's own mother has made an open acknowledgement of Vijay being the 'next superstar'.
She may also have hinted at the possible political entry Vijay has been lingering around for years by placing him next to MGR and Rajinikanth. Here's the full transcript of the letter, translated from Tamil (original version here and here):
A fetus first crawls into the palm of a nurse and only then finds its way to the mother's heart. And she pillows the baby with all her heart. But when I see today that the child that I birthed is crawling in the palms of millions of mothers and fans and they are celebrating him as their 'Thalapathy', the corner of my eyes flicker wet and a drop of tear falls down. Other than that, what else should I draft so easily in written about about you Vijay.
When I look back at the times you took at my hand and walked, the things that happened after that (ups, downs, losses, gains), my thoughts melt and flow over all my body; How do I drain all those subtle feelings on any piece of paper.
In which pen do i fill ink and write that even at a rebellious age which doesn't usually understand the meaning of quiet, you stood and functioned as an incarnate of peace and quiet, making me overwhelm with happiness from the bottom of my heart.
From the time you first stopped crying and smiled in full bloom to today when you smile because of the flood of affection being shown from heart-felt fans, How can I put in words the capricious state of borrowing words (despite the definitions existing in millions and crores) without searching?
I'll tell in short..Following Mr. M.K. Thiagaraja Bhagavadhar, Mr. M.G. Ramachandran and Mr. Rajinikanth, at a time when the world is waiting to celebrate you as the next Superstar, forgetting that i am a mother, I sit among the fan-crowd and blow a long Bigil.
