Ghibran hits sixer with his Pattam Poochi Kannale while Jay Krish impresses in Telugu with Nammela Ledhe


Sangathamizhan (Tamil): Vivek Mervin: Kamala: Kamala is Goan rhythm meets the raucous foot-tapping kuthu which one feels that it could have been done better nevertheless fun listen. Vivek Siva himself croons the song with the talented Sanjana Kalmanje who one wishes that sings often. The colloquial lyrics by Ku Karthik able to clasp the listener's attention. The tune vaguely takes us back to the famous song Mia Mia from Aai especially the sound sample comes after current Kambi verse.

 

Valmiki (Telugu): Mickey J Meyer: Jarra Jarra: Jigarthanda remake Valmiki's first single seems to be the equivalent of Paandi Naatu Kodi going by the promos. Mickey J Meyer replaced the brass led original to the typical Telugu item number and churned out a catchy song out of it. The jarra jarra hook and Super hittu rendition from Uma Neha work effortlessly. 

 

Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru (Telugu): Jay Krish: Nammela Ledhe: Jay Krish concocts a beautiful melody with the brilliant assortment of Sandilya Pisapati's violin solos and the chorus sections in the interludes works well with the string sections. Anurag Kulkarni aces the rendition effortlessly in Sanapati Bharadwaj Patrudu's verses.

 

Namma Veettu Pillai (Tamil): D Imman: Yenga Annan: Imman continues his hackneyed punchy rhythm to the dead beat. Nakash Aziz and Sunidhi Chauhan able to make this one listenable despite the cliched lyrics by Vignesh Shivan.

 

Sixer (Tamil): Ghibran: Pattaam Poochi Kannalae: After a couple of middling songs, Ghibran proves his mettle with the carefree song Pattaam Poochi Kannalae. Ghibran's nuances in the arrangements with the cartoonish sounds are exceptional and it blends well with the Anu's colloquial lyrics. Ghibran manages to sing well also along with the wonderful Sowmiya Mahadevan.
