Vijay Antony's upcoming crime-thriller Kolaigaran, which also stars Arjun Sarja in a crucial role is gearing up for a release on June 5, 2019. At this time, it has been revealed that the film has cleared it censor formalities and has been certified an U/A by the CBFC. 

Kolaigaran which is directed by Andrew Louis, will see Vijay Antony who plays a serial killer and Arjun who plays a cop indulge in a cat-and-mouse chase and it is said to be loosely based on a Japanese novel titled The Devotion of Suspect X.

The film which also stars Ashima Narwal, Nassar and Guru Somasundaram among others is produced by Diya Movies in association with Dhananjayan and has Simon King for the music.
