Here's what Thalapathy 63 producer said about the film's release date!

 

In case you missed it, earlier today buzz of Thalapthy 63 getting pushed ahead of the announced Diwali release slot emerged and media houses suggested that the film will instead release for Independence day i.e. in August, 2019.
 
However, Archana Kalpathi who is a part of AGS Entertainment, producers of this Vijay-Nayanthara starrer took to social media to debunk the rumour. Commenting on one of the media reports which suggested the changed release date, she wrote:


Vijay has for the past few years has maintained one release per year and each of his films gets released only during the Diwali holidays. So it makes sense for any producer to bank on the fan-expectations that lurk surrounding that holiday.
