Indian 2 is one of the much awaited sequel which has created a lot of buzz ever since its announcement. The film shooting is expected to begin in the first week of December and the set work for the shoot is currently in progress. Kamal Haasan who is all set to return as 'Senapathy' has taken a look test in the most popular 'Indian Thatha' getup in AVM Studios. A photo session was also done with that get-up. Director Shankar and DOP Ravi Varman were also present during the look test shoot. Known for perfectionism, Shankar and Kamal Hassan had worked relentlessly for 2 days to finalise Senapathy's look in the film.

The film is the sequel to 1996 film 'Indian' which saw Kamal playing the role of a vigilante who lashes out against corruption. Actor Kamal Haasan is said to be on a weight loss regime for his role. Kajal Agarwal, Dulquer Salmaan and Simbu are also reportedly part of the film's cast. However an official announcement is awaited from the makers. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film has music by Anirudh.
