Vada Chennai prequel would be called Rajan Vagaira, says Vetrimaaran

 

Speaking about a possible prequel to his very successful film Vada Chennai, director Vetrimaaran has recently been quoted as saying that if there was one, it would be called Rajan Vagaira. He has also said that his team is looking on exploring such an idea and instead of a film they are keen on releasing it as a web series.
 
"I fell in love with Rajan's character as I was writing. His is a very fascinating personality and at one point, I wanted to make a standalone film on Rajan. The prequel idea would do full justice to his character and give it more weightage," said Vetrimaaran.
 

It is worth mentioning here that the character Rajan was portrayed by actor-director Ameer in the film, some scenes involving whom even attracted objections but later pacified.
