Box Office: Vijay Devarakonda's Geetha Govindam makes over 200% profit in just 5 days

Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna starrer Geetha Govindam directed by Parasuram hit the screens on August 15, on the occasion of Independence day. The romantic comedy film has received overwhelming response from the audience and critics alike. The film has started off with a thunderous response at the box office. It has grossed Rs. 54 cr at the WorldWide Box Office in 5 days and has already been declared a ‘blockbuster’ by the trade circle. 

 

The theatricals of ‘Geetha Govindam’ were sold for Rs. 15 cr. At the Indian Box Office, Geetha Govindam has collected Rs. 25 cr (nett) and  Rs. 40 cr (gross). The film has earned Rs. 31 cr nett with gross earnings of Rs. 54 crore at the worldwide Box Office. The film has already made over 200% profit in just 5 days. 

 

Vijay Devarakonda’s winning streak continues with his latest outing Geetha Govindam too. His movies like Arjun Reddy, Pelli Choopulu and Mahanati have become blockbusters at the box office.

 

The film has grossed Rs. 3.35 cr at the TN Box Office and has grabbed the second spot at the Chennai City Box Office.

 

International Box Office

USA

The  movie was premiered in over 160 screens in the USA on August 14, a day before its release in India. The movie has collected over $1.5 million (Rs.10.5 crore) at the US box office in 5 days including preview shows.

Australia

The film is doing phenomenal business at the Australian Box Office as well. Geetha Govindam has managed to beat the total box collection figures of both Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate in Australia. The film has earned A$ 202,226 (Rs. 1.03 cr) in Australia.

 


With positive word of mouth, the film is expected to make 300% profit at the Box Office in the coming days.
